Whatever it is you get coffee, take notes during the staff meeting, offer 100 percent arrange appointments for your boss. If you can make Joe’s best cup, take the most spot-on notes or flawlessly plan every meeting, your manager can certainly see you being a valuable asset to the team. If you can be the cool and composed employee to help guide the situation in the right direction, you can quickly make an impression on your manager as someone with a true potential for leadership.

9. Try to read more

There are so many reasons why books are perfect. Whether you are looking to grow in your career, take control of your finances or become a better coworker, there are so many books that will motivate you to become a better employee. You’ll show your manager that outside of what you’re doing at work, you have aspirations to yourself. Bonus: Books are great (read: smart and fun) talking points so you can always make small conversations with even the company’s highest executive.

10. Support others

When someone has a great idea that obviously hasn’t been heard in the boardroom or someone is already complaining about your boss, speak up and support them. When you think they’re fine, echo the suggestions of your team members and ask others to repeat themselves while no one is talking so they’re understood. Supporting others inside your office is so important. And by doing the same, they would help you too. Nevertheless, you’re going to show off your team player and have great ideas behind you that aren’t just yours. You work at a business, so be an involved member of that group we bet that if you do, you will enjoy working there so much more.
